I'm a guy who
aims to please. I had several people e-mail me asking
for a design that a round bar on the outside
to combat trees and rocks instead of the square. Due to requests from customers, I also made
available a round outer tube version which rivals the
protection of the LP-1 version, but with a more aesthetically
pleasing round outer tube, the
Lateral Protection Round-Tube ZJ-RP1 (photos to be
available soon). So, now there are three versions that you
can buy. As you can see from the photo on the
left, the Maximum Lateral Protection (LP-1) Sliderz'
leading edge that sticks out from the body is designed
at a 45 degree angle, so if there is a rock that your
tire has just dropped over, you will not get caught on it,
as this design allows the Sliderz to lift the
Jeep up and over the obstacle. From this angle, you
can also view the 1" gap between the two main pieces.
This allows for a non-slip notch for you to insert a Hi-Lift
jack anywhere along the slider, to lift the Jeep up
for changing a tire, getting un-stuck, or just to show off
for your friends (just kidding).
| Hey Kevin, got a set of your Sliderz
seven years ago and am still beaten the sh***t out of
them. Your products are so good that it doesn't
need to be replaced. 7 years and two builds on my
Jeep, your Sliderz are the only thing I haven't upgraded
and I HAMMER them. Current Score: Rubicon-0

The Maximum
Lateral Clearance (LC-1) model on the right protects
from underneath, and offers an extra 3" of clearance
per side compared to the LP-1 for those really tight trails.
Also, these are not
as Hi-Lift-able as the LP-1 version, but it can
be done with a little extra effort.
