'93 to '98 ZJ Jeep Grand Cherokee Skid Plates

This is a skid plate designed to work with our ZJ Clayton Long Arm kit, available to our customers who are ALREADY running a Clayton Long-Arm'd ZJ like our shop Jeep.  It bolts to the Clayton aftermarket cross-member and welded frame rail tie-ins that are part of the Clayton Kit, giving you a rigid, integral belly skid from the cross-member all the way back to the catalytic converter.

Waterjet-cut and CNC formed from thick-gauge 1/4" steel plate, we can rest the ENTIRE weight of our ZJ Grand Cherokee on top of this thing, and STILL have the transfer case fully protected. Have you ever wondered why it was shiny while the rest of the undercarriage was black? The reason is that it's aluminum. It's not only extremely brittle because it's CAST aluminum, it's also very thin. We've designed a 1/4" thick steel skid plate to save as much ground clearance as possible, while protecting your fragile aluminum transfer case from sharp rocks and other obstacles, that could leave you broken down on the trail. Our design incorporates a triangulated vector system which distributes the force of impacts over a much greater area, effectively reducing crushing stress points in any one spot. due to our patent pending mounting bracket design, it's easy to install and remove for transfer case maintenance, and will last many years of usage on the trail.  These are a normally stocked item.

Our skid plates do not come with powdercoating because they would be scratched up badly by the time FedEx gets done with them, however you can get them painted or powdercoated locally once you have it fitted to your Jeep, or you can spray paint it yourself.  Touching up the paint (if you care about that sort of thing) will be a lot easier to match if you rattle-can'd it the first time.  Shipped via Ground service - 3 to 6 days in transit, and are normally kept in stock.
